Jean-Claude Mas’s great-grandfather, Auguste Mas, bought the first family vineyard in 1892. Today Paul Mas wines remain a result of a balanced symbiotic relationship between Languedoc, an extraordinary area for growing grapes, passion for the vine, respect for grapes during the winemaking process and talent in blending and aging. That is the Paul Mas style. A permanent quest for authenticity and character with creativity as our motivation.

A PIONEER

Jean-Claude Mas is often described as a pioneer from the New Languedoc, belonging to the New wave of French wines, one of those on a mission to give Languedoc its’ former glory back in a region where wine production goes back to more than 2000 years.

RURAL LUXURY

RURAL LUXURY

“Le Luxe Rural” was created by Jean Claude in 2011, to describe the uniquely Languedoc version of the French art of living, a blend of wines, cuisine based on local produce and of artisan artworks.

SUSTAINABILITY

Chemical products have been banned from Paul Mas vineyards for many years. The vineyards are managed with minimal intervention. To Jean Claude Mas sustainability and biodiversity is a value, not a commercial argument.
