Winemaking notes
Clare Valley - An excellent all round season, 2012 was defined as a warm and temperate vintage. The Indian summer conditions perfect for allowing the late maturing vines to fully ripen whilst the cool evening temperatures promoted fruit freshness and varietal intensity.
Tasting notes
Appearance: Red brick with deep crimson hues. Nose: Garden scents, dark chocolate and cherry plums supported by lightly toasted French oak. Palate: cocoa, cherry plums, and spicy oak char combine with acidity and silky tannins. Serious ageing potential.
Pairing notes
Pair with: Crisp pork belly with apple and horseradish.
