Winemaking notes
15% of the wines are vinified in oak with weekly stirring. Louis Roederer has developed over the years a very unique way called "infusion", it allows both to extract the juicy and ripe side of the Pinot Noir while preserving a very great freshness. Thus some Chardonnay juices are poured into a maceration of Pinot Noir, to ferment together and integrate perfectly. The dosage is 8 g/l.
Viticultural notes
In 1974, one hundred years after the creation of Cristal, Jean-Claude Rouzaud created the Cristal Rosé cuvée by selecting old Pinot Noir vines, located on the best terroirs of the Grand Cru d'Aÿ, now cultivated biodynamically. Drawing an exquisite minerality from the unique limestone soil of this terroir, these grapes have the particularity of reaching, in the best years, an extraordinary maturity associated with a crystalline acidity.
Tasting notes
Salmon pink color with golden reflections. Regular then ultra fine effervescence. A restrained bouquet of rare elegance. The subtle, evanescent aromas come in the form of delicate perfumes, so intertwined and then complex that it is very difficult to describe them. It is an invitation to take the time necessary to let yourself be overwhelmed by this wine which reveals itself at its own pace.
