Winemaking notes
The Grand Vintage Collection 2000 is the sixty-seventh Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage since the first created in 1842. It is captivating and filled with the paradox of opulence: boldly radiant yet light, complex yet filled with playful charm, structured like a tale that ends with a satisfying conclusion and yet the desire for more.
Viticultural notes
The year 2000 was particularly challenging in Champagne, marked by an unstable climate with alternating periods of cold, rain, heat, and storms until the end of August. Blend: 50% Chardonnay, 34% Pinot Noir, 16% Meunier. Aged 14 years in the cellar, followed by at least 6 months after disgorgement. Dosage: 7 g/L (extra brut). Contains sulphites.
Tasting notes
Golden and iridescent yellow reflections. Initial notes of mocha, toast, tobacco, and smoke gradually give way to sweeter aromas of nougatine, honey, resin, and vanilla. Fruit then radiates through with peach, apricot, and fig, lifted by hints of jasmine and hawthorn. Rich and smooth on the palate, with a broad texture and a long finish marked by menthol and spice.
