Winemaking notes
The blend is made of the Tuscan Sangiovese (60 %)and the international grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon (20 %) and Merlot (20 %) .The grapes are vinified with a brief maceration. Once the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are completed, the wine is aged for a short period in small oak barrels and bottled in the Spring following the harvest. An appropriate bottle aging follows. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled (25-30°C) stainless steel tanks. Followed by a short period of aging in French oak barrique (350 l.)
Viticultural notes
This wine is designated, Indicazione Geografica Tipica (IGT) title. The grapes are soured from multi-districts within the Tuscany region.
Tasting notes
An intense mauve red color. Fresh and fruity aromas. There are hints of blackberry and ripe cherry that are accompanied by floral, tobacco and licorice notes. Full and soft, it is balanced with good acidity.
Pairing notes
Suitable for many occasions. The ideal companion with pasta, grilled meats, chicken, pizza and middle aged cheeses.
