Scorch

Crafted on Islay, Ardbeg Scorch is matured in heavily charred ex-bourbon casks. This intense charring amplifies smoky depth and toasted oak character. Inspired by Islay legends, it delivers a bold, fiery expression shaped by wood and peat.

Though not a wine, its identity reflects its terroir. Produced on Islay, it draws influence from coastal air and peat-rich soils. The local peat, used during barley drying, imparts its signature smoky intensity and earthy character.

The nose is rich with smoke, toasted oak, and hints of vanilla and spice. On the palate, it reveals layers of charred wood, dark caramel, anise, and black pepper. The finish is long, warming, and deeply smoky with a lingering toasted sweetness.

Best enjoyed neat to explore its bold profile. A few drops of water can soften the char and reveal sweeter notes. Serve at room temperature in a whisky glass for a slow, layered tasting experience.
