Committee Release 17 YO

Crafted on Islay, this Committee Release revives the iconic 17 Year Old style. Distilled from heavily peated barley and matured in ex-bourbon casks, it is bottled at higher strength, offering a deeper, more intense expression while preserving its classic balance.

Though not a wine, its character reflects its terroir. Produced on Islay, it is shaped by coastal influences and peat-rich soils. The local peat, used to dry the barley, gives the whisky its signature smoky identity, softened here by extended aging.

The nose is refined, with gentle smoke, citrus zest, and subtle sweetness. On the palate, it is elegant yet expressive, revealing notes of peat, vanilla, lemon, and toasted oak. The finish is long, smooth, and delicately smoky, with a lingering freshness.

Best enjoyed neat to appreciate its balance and maturity. A few drops of water can open up its citrus and sweet notes. Serve at room temperature in a whisky glass, allowing it to evolve gently in the glass.
