Winemaking notes
Born on Islay, Ardbeg Anthology V2 is crafted through traditional copper pot distillation, where heavily peated barley meets slow, careful fermentation. Matured in a thoughtful mix of casks, time and smoke weave together, shaping a whisky that tells a bold, layered story with every drop.
Viticultural notes
Rooted in Islay’s wild terroir, the barley absorbs the island’s salty air and rugged climate. Peat, cut from ancient bogs, fuels the drying process, infusing the grain with Ardbeg’s signature intensity—raw, untamed, and unmistakably coastal.
Tasting notes
A smoky breeze opens the way, followed by waves of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and sweet spice. On the palate, it unfolds with charred oak, dried fruits, and a touch of sea salt, finishing long, warm, and deeply satisfying with lingering peat.
Pairing notes
Best enjoyed neat to fully embrace its complexity, or with a few drops of water to unlock hidden layers. Serve at room temperature in a whisky glass, allowing the aromas to rise slowly, like smoke drifting over Islay’s shores.
