An Oa

Crafted on Islay, Ardbeg An Oa is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and new charred oak casks. These are married in a gathering vat, creating a smoother, rounder expression that balances Ardbeg’s signature smoke with rich, sweet spice.

Though not a wine, its character reflects its terroir. Produced on Islay, it carries the influence of coastal winds and peat-rich soils. The locally sourced peat, used to dry the barley, imparts the signature smoky profile that defines Ardbeg whiskies.

The nose opens with gentle smoke, creamy toffee, and hints of citrus. On the palate, it’s rounded and velvety, revealing notes of chocolate, anise, roasted nuts, and soft spices. The finish is smooth, lingering with a delicate balance of sweetness and peat.
