Benromach

Benromach Distillery was established in Forres, Scotland in 1898. It was the realisation of a long-held dream for the Urquhart family when they acquired the distillery in 1993. Five years of meticulous refitting of the distillery followed before officially reopening our doors in 1998. Our whisky is handcrafted and reminiscent of a time when Speyside distilleries malted their own barley using peat to fuel the fires and impart a touch of smoke.

Exclusively First-Fill Cask Matured

Good casks are crucial to creating a good whisky, and we get the most flavour from First-Fill oak casks. All of our casks are hand-filled, individually weighed, stencilled by hand and stowed in our traditional dunnage warehouses.

It takes just four ingredients to create our whisky – locally sourced barley, water from the Chapelton Spring, brewers’ and distillers’ yeast and most importantly, the people.
